To everyone who is visiting for the first time today, this week, or ever – WELCOME. As I’m sure you’ve already figured out, my name is Brooklyn Shay Wilson and this is my blog!

There are lots of things going on here so let me break it down for you: My main focus is 30 day challenges that can change your life. However, there are times when I talk about weekly challenges, my family, my self-development, and my fun adventures.

I am a very big believer in constant change and bettering yourself. Through self-reflection, goal setting, and taking on challenges for better habits – you can do that. And through this, you’ll see me do it! You’ll also see me fail, laugh at myself, get frustrated, but enjoy the journey.

And don’t worry, I have challenges that you can do too – I want you to follow along and join me!

If you want to learn a little bit more about me, head over to “A More In-Depth Welcome”. If you want to learn about why and how I started, read my blog post, “The Beginning”.

Happy April 1st! Do you have any pranks your pulling today? I want to hear. Well I have something for you, but it isn't a prank! My April challenge! I'm so, so excited. This quarantine has actually been really tough for me. Honestly I didn't think our lives would...

January 2020 Challenge Reveal

Good day to all of you beautiful humans! And a happy new year! I've had my fair share of internal conflicts & real struggles throughout this year, especially the past few weeks. But those are just opportunities to learn and grow as an individual. 2019 has been an...

A Look Back

Since my early days of earning income, I have always been a spender. I have always enjoyed retail therapy and think I always will. But, it is so important to look back on what progress has been made and what needs improvement in your life. Talking about shopping - I...

Want a Side Hustle?

So I have been interested in trying out these little side hustle/extra cash jobs for awhile. A lot of them seemed like scams, and I've heard that some of them are, but I still wanted to try a few out and see if I could actually make a little extra cash. Here are a few...

October Challenge Reveal

This challenge hits home right now. Mykle and I have lived a very comfortable life. We are very good with our money/savings and plan for our future. Mykle is more of a saver, and he has taught me that spending all I earn isn't always that fun. Saving money can...

The End is Near

For September my husband and I both wanted to do a health challenge. We weren't feeling great about ourselves because we hadn't worked out in forever and we ate junk food all the time. It was definitely time for a change. For awhile we did really well - especially my...

Getting Active – Outside

I was listening to a podcast (What We Said Podcast) and one of the girls said that they feel like they get a better workout if they are at the gym or go to a class, instead of doing one at home. I definitely love at home workouts but I definitely agree with her in...

My Relationship with the Gym

I'm sure you can all relate to this - but I have a pretty known love/hate relationship with the gym. Let's start this post out with a funny story. A long, long time ago when my sister was in middle school we were driving in the car together (my mom was driving, not us...

What I Eat in a Day – Starting a New Diet

This might not seem so healthy to you guys, but for me it is a big adjustment. We were not eating good at all, and even though I was happy (because we were eating such delicious food) I was done feeling terrible. I wanted to be able to feel good and also not slowly...

September Challenge: Revealed

Good afternoon and happy Labor Day! This whole weekend has been very relaxing and a great opportunity to spend as much alone time as possible with my cutie husband! I'm very grateful for long weekends like this to truly do whatever and just spend quality time...

The Texas Ranch

I grew up in the desert - Utah. When I think back on my childhood/teenage years, I really appreciated being in Utah's little bubble. Although I have been naive and innocent, I believe that really made me feel comfortable in where I was living and - for the most part -...

Fresh Starts in Texas

As you've probably read from My Love Letter to Washington, moving to a new state was really amazing and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I loved going through new adventures with my best friend. Our new adventure was to move to Texas! There are a few reasons why we...

My Love Letter to Washington

There are a few reasons why I loved living in Washington. To start, I had a random desire to visit Seattle for my graduation trip in 2015. That never happened, and for the years after I craved the experience. When Mykle & I got married, I asked if we could make a...

December

If you hadn't noticed, I've been gone for a little while and now I'm back! I took a little break from writing blog posts & creating content on Instagram for awhile. I had two different challenges for November & December, but knew I really needed this break to...

Love Is In The Air

This on and off slump I've been in has been annoying. Can any of you relate? Last week I was very overwhelmed with my assignments and didn't really get ahead. We also had a snowstorm over the weekend, and I guess in Washington that means that you have to be really,...

My 2020 Goals

Hello, hello, hello. I took a step back to really look at what I wanted to improve on in my life. And there are a few. Do you remember my 2020 challenges in my video that I posted in January? I'm still really excited about it and I want to make sure I'm following...

Where Have I Been?

There are lots of reasons why I haven't posted on the blog or on Instagram for awhile now. I started a new challenge for February, cooking, but by starting it I almost set myself up for failure. I didn't even plan a post for the reveal on the blog! It has been a...

This month has been a good one and there have been many ups & downs. Even though I haven't been super consistent I have still learned a lot and will hopefully take those lessons with me as I continue to navigate my finances. Let's leave this month with a positive...
