If you know me at all, you know that my birthday is such a big deal. I become a complete spoiled brat on my birthday. And another, I really enjoy Valentine’s day. So February already is a really fun month. This month I want to focus on getting back to what I want to do with my life, being focused on working hard, but also learning how to relax. And let me tell you, it is a learning curve for sure. Below, you can see how much I value my birthday (This attire was only on for this picture unfortunately, I went right back to cleaning).

If you haven’t read my very first post ‘The Beginning’, I started the idea of 30 day challenges through a TEDtalk I watched for school. And do you know how I got inspired for this months challenge? You guessed it, another one!

So I’m going to follow what he recommends for us to become happy so we can become more successful:

  1. Write down three things I’m grateful for (different every day)
  2. Journal every day
  3. Exercise
  4. Mediation
  5. Random acts of kindness (conscious acts of kindness)

I’m not going to lie, this one is going to be hard. Finding time, reminding myself to do them, I think will be tricky. But again, I wanted to get back to WHY I created this blog and what the point was. And I have never actually meditated before – so we will see how that goes.

I’m happy to say that in the past couple years I have been much more ambitious, but the past month or two I have lost what I’m working so hard for. I want to get back on track and really try to understand what I want. I am excited that I am already working on some other projects that have been a lot of fun!

February is going to mean self-reflection, progression, and hopefully some clarity.

I have some ideas for a transformation month (or two) but unfortunately while I am working and doing this many credits for school I didn’t want to commit to too much. Trying to be realistic about my goals can be discouraging, but I try to do that so my goals don’t go as last month’s did. It happens, though. I had mentioned on my Instagram that I wasn’t sure if I would be posting at all this month – I have been very, very overwhelmed with everything that’s going on so I thought I might just do the challenges and not post.

But ya know what? I can do hard things, and I have been. And this blog is something that I love to do, so I’m going to keep sharing it all with you! And you know what? You can too. If you put your mind to it, you can do hard things.

I have already been at this for 12 days – and I’m going to be honest, I haven’t kept up with it every day. But it has definitely helped me see the positive in things and I am excited to try and do better!
